Case Study Telekom Austria

The Client
Telekom Austria is the leading provider of telecommunication services within the fixed network segment in Austria. Due to its market position Telekom Austria is a provider offering the entire spectrum of TC-services in its home market and thus possessing among other things a very grown product structure.
From the resulting diversity of billable services, a natural desire for a uniform accounting system evolved. Telekom Austria thus decided to introduce an adequate new billing system. The choice was made in favour of the solution of the Israeli manufacturer MaxBill.

The Challenge
The introduction of a new billing system at a Telco-Operator is a challenging project that touches almost all business processes. A professional quality management is indispensable for success. Only this way can it be ensured that the new billing system bills correctly and complies with all legal and contractual demands. Moreover, it has to be very flexible and support new marketing and sales strategies in order to effect the appropriate and desired competitive edges.
The quality management of the operational implementation of the new system („Billing New“) is so far the largest pilot project (state: Spring 2008) in the telecommunication sector in Europe.

The Solution
Xionet supports Telekom Austria with a competent and experienced team in managing and executing the pilot project as well as with the deployment and operational implementation of the new system. The work of the Xionet team especially encompasses the professional project management, know-how of methods, test planning and informative reporting to the management.
